I am a huge fan of all holidays! I’m partial to Valentine’s day just because my birthday is also in February so this holiday is another reason that makes this month great! I love that for Valentine’s day you can make it whatever you want–either super chill or you can do something fancy. I’m sharing a few ideas that we have tried out and some that are still on my list to check off! xo
1.Visit a Museum
Last year we went to an art museum and it was actually really fun, there might even be a special exhibit in your city. We’re in the D.C. area so there are still a ton of museums we need to get to!
These can be so fun, a couple months ago we had a throwback moment and went to a Jagged Edge Concert. We had a great time and of course, they played all of our favorites–Ours is “Where the Party At” lol
3.Cooking or cocktail making class
We haven’t done this yet, but I think it would be so fun! I always enjoy learning new skills so I would really enjoy this!
4.Visit a farmer’s market
I think this is such a fun daytime activity where you can explore new vendors and support local businesses
5.Comedy or Improv Show
A date with lots of laughs is always great, we also went to a comedy show recently and were laughing the whole night!
Depending on where you are, it might be a little chilly to go to a vineyard, but there are usually some wine places around where you can do a tasting.
7.Paint your own Pottery
We once painted bowls and they were so cute! I think we had to wait a few days to actually take these home, but it was cool activity.
8.Wine and Design
In some places, you can find these events called “Sip and Paint” but either way, I love bringing out my inner artist and working on these kinds of projects…and adding wine is a bonus!
9.Attend a sporting event
We’ve been to a few sporting events here in D.C., most recently a Wizards basketball game and it was a great game. It is always so interesting to see sporting events live!
10.Go biking around your city
This activity definitely depends on where you live, you might want to save this idea for the spring if it is too cold in your city! Many cities have the bikes that you can easily rent for the day.
11.Couples spa day/ Massage
Who doesn’t want a day full of relaxation?!
Game night can be done either at the house, or you can bring out your inner child at a place like Dave and Buster’s
13.Quick weekend getaway
It is always nice to explore a new city, you can even choose something within driving distance. I have a packing list linked in this post here
14.A fun dance class
I really want to try out a salsa class! I’m not always the most coordinated, but I think with the right instructor this could be fun.
My favorite place to go ice skating is at outdoor rinks. You can always get hot chocolate to warm up!
Do you guys have any fun Valentine’s day plans? These are also fun activities to do with your girls for Galentine’s day!
